Partner John M. Vlasac, Jr. achieved a $640,000.00 settlement for an injured Police Officer
Justice has been served once again by the attorneys of Vlasac & Shmaruk, LLC. On March 20th, 2015 John M. Vlasac, Jr. obtained a $640,000 settlement for a client who sustained multiple injuries after falling into a cable vault box. The plaintiff, a Ewing Police Officer, was responding to a call at a local apartment complex. While walking through the court yard at approximately 9:45 p.m. he stepped on the lid of a Verizon vault box and it became dislodged causing the police officer to fall into the box hole up to his hip. The Plaintiff sustained a low back injury which required surgery and non-surgical injuries to his right hip and right knee. The Plaintiff alleged the apartment complex and Verizon were negligent in their maintenance of the subject vault box and cover and also claimed a design defect against the manufacture. Mr. Vlasac was able to achieve the $640,000 settlement before trial, securing the financial future of our client. This is just one more example of our attorneys fighting insurance companies to the very end to ensure our clients are compensated to the fullest extent of the law.
