Carbajo v. JCPenny, et. al.
A devastating event involving a helpless infant resulted in a lawsuit against JC Penny at Woodbridge Center Mall, New Jersey. The Carbajo Family was involved in an unforgettable accident leaving their young son partially disabled as a result of a faulty escalator system. The young boy was trapped in a moving escalator for fifteen minutes suffering from “crush injuries to the right foot, ankle and leg.” The anxiety was palpable while parents, employees and paramedics worked to release the trapped boy. With the expertise of personal injury attorneys at Vlasac and Cassidy, the family received a notable settlement of $1,500,000. Nevertheless, this family will endure challenges in the years ahead as the boy grows older.
Below is an animation showing an ESCALATOR ACCIDENT and the possible injuries it can impose on the body.
